Preventing and managing decision fatigue 

I need autonomy, but then often get overwhelmed with decision fatigue. 

This can feel like total paralysis - unable to make a simple decision like which jumper to wear, or whether I want coffee or tea.  

 It's exhausting. But there's a reason for that. 

 Cognitive scientists have now proven the reality of “decision fatigue”—that every decision you make, little or big, diminishes a limited amount of your brain power.

So what do we do about this, other than have all autonomy removed? (which I don't think we'd like either...)
