Coping Strategies and Skills Training
What is it?
Coping Strategies and Skills training for ADHD, often funded through the DWP’s Access to Work program, aims to support individuals with ADHD in managing workplace challenges through tailored strategies.
Individualised Strategy Development
Each person with ADHD is unique, and their challenges are personal to them.
Our recommended coaches will spend time assessing what those challenges are, and how you can work together to create a programme of sessions. This may include exploring issues like time management, focus, organisation, and handling workplace stress.
Goal Setting
Coaches work with the employee to set realistic goals based on their assessment. These goals might focus on improving focus, reducing overwhelm, managing deadlines, or fostering better communication.
Other elements we usually cover:
Time Management and Organisational Skills
Focus and Attention Techniques
Stress and Emotion Regulation
Social and Communication Skills
Dealing with ADHD is often a dynamic process, and so our coaches’ strategies are adjusted based on feedback and the individual’s experience over time.
