Managing Money

Part One

How’s your money situation? Totally in control?

Never overspend or make impulse purchases? Always return online purchases on time? Got your pension pot nailed? Completely debt free? Have never heard of ‘The ADHD Tax’?

If so, congratulations! You are in the minority. Most of us with ADHD struggle in some form or another with money and debt. I personally have had decades of battling my finances, and it still brings me a great deal of shame and stress, if I’m being brutally honest.

For this webinar we are looking at ADHD and money. WHY we struggle, followed by WHAT we can do about it.

Our common challenges:

  • Debt

  • Impulse and emotional spending

  • Organisation and admin difficulties

  • The wall of awful and head in the sand

  • Lack of executive function - planning and checking

  • Time blindness

  • The ADHD tax

  • Shame

  • Eternal optimism

  • Not feeling ‘worth’ what we earn

  • Broken relationships/divorce
