Accepting Your ADHD
This week at The ADHD Collective we are looking at accepting our ADHD and ourselves.
This doesn't mean being passive and static - but rather the opposite. Acceptance enables growth, change and peace.
I watched the film Wild starring Reese Witherspoon the other night. It’s based on Cheryl Strayed’s autobiography of her 1,100 mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail.
Cheryl is really struggling before the hike, and battles her addictions, relationship breakdown and significant bereavement along the way.
I have a hunch she’s one of us…but have now bought three of her books. She’s great on self-acceptance and battling demons, and is so resilient.
I have to confess to being a little bit of a giddy fan girl when she liked The ADHD Collective’s tweet the other day!
Do watch the film or read Cheryl’s book Wild if you get the chance.
